Prof. Feiyun Wu
, JiMei University, China

Fei-Yun Wu (16M-21SM) received a B.S. degree in applied physics from Nanchang University in 2006, an M.S. degree in detection technology and automation devices from Sun Yat-sen University in 2010, and a Ph.D. degree in ocean physics from Xiamen University in 2016. From 2013 to 2015, he was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Delaware, Newark, DE, USA. He served as an Assistant Professor (2016-2019) and Associate Professor (2019-2023) at the School of Marine Science and Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China.
He currently holds the position of Distinguished Professor of Minjiang Scholars in Fujian Province. His research interests include adaptive signal processing, compressed sensing, underwater acoustic communications, and signal processing. He received the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation of Fujian Province in 2017 and the Best Researcher Award for Statistical Methods for Analyzing Engineering Data in 2023. Dr. Wu has served as an associate editor for the American Journal of Information Science and Technology (AJIST) and as a guest editor for the EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing (2022), Information Science (2023), and Electronics (2023). Assoc. Prof. Weihua Jiang, Xiamen University, China

Weihua Jiang received his Ph.D. in Marine Physics at Xiamen University, Xiamen, China in 2020. From 2018 to 2020, he was a visiting student with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA. In 2021 and 2022, he was a postdoctoral researcher with the acoustic and navigation laboratory, University of Haifa, Haifa, Israel. From 2023 to 2024, he was an Associate Professor with the School of Ocean Engineering and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, Zhuhai, China. He is currently an Associate Professor with the College of Ocean and Earth Sciences, Xiamen University, Xiamen, China. His research interests focus on underwater acoustic communication and network. Dr. Jiang has served as a review editor of Frontiers in Signal Processing, and as a Guest Editor of Journal of Marine Science and Engineering(2023), and Electronics(2024). He was a winner of the Best PhD Thesis Award in Fujian Province in 2021.



Assoc. Prof. Lei Wan, Xiamen University, China

Lei Wan (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in electronic information engineering from Tianjin University (TJU), Tianjin, China, in 2006, the M.S. degree in signal and information processing from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), Beijing, China, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from University of Connecticut (UCONN), Storrs, CT, USA, in 2014. He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Informatics, Xiamen University (XMU), Xiamen, China. His research interests include algorithm design, system development, and performance analysis for underwater acoustic communication systems. He has published more than 40 journal and conference papers in related area, and has received several grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China and other venues. He has led or taken part in the development of several underwater acoustic communication modems, including the first generation commercial underwater acoustic OFDM modem.
Dr. Wan has served as a Technical Reviewer for many journals and conferences. He received the IEEE Communications Society's Exemplary Reviewer Award for the IEEE Communications Letters, in 2013. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Open Journal of Communications Society and Journal of Marine Science and Engineering. He was the workshop co-chair of IEEE/CIC ICCC workshop on underwater acoustic communication and marine information technology in 2021, and was the poster chair and demo chair of ACM WUWNet conference in 2021 and 2023, respectively.
